Lodi enjoys a Mediterranean climate with long dry summers where daily temperatures often exceed 90° Fahrenheit. While most inland wine regions miss out on the Pacific Ocean’s cooling influence, Lodi is an exception. Thanks to a large gap in California’s Coastal Ranges created by the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta, warm days are often cooled by afternoon Delta Breezes. This mediates high temperatures and protects fruit from over-ripening. Our Cabernet is ideal for dinner parties or backyard barbecues, bringing with it the tale of one of California’s many unique inland regions.
