About This Wine

Whale Light

Blush Rosé

We can't wait for you to uncork this exciting new release from Gold Medal-winning Whale Light. Our Blush Rosé is crisp and bright with notes of candied citrus and fresh red fruit. This Syrah-driven rosé is an excellent selection for anyone seeking something refreshing to fill their glass. Winegrowing in Washington is run by water—or lack thereof. While this cool, northern state has a reputation for wet weather, its vineyards are actually warm and dry. The majestic Cascade Mountain range shields Washington's eastern side from oceanic storms, allowing grapes in the Columbia Valley to ripen easily throughout long sunny days. Our Blush Rosé is a delicious example of the variety to be discovered in this premier growing region. Enjoy it well-chilled alongside salty snacks, soft cheeses or fresh fruit. Wine Region

Columbia Valley

Sheltered by the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains, Columbia Valley is home to the majority of Washington's vineyards. Cool nights keep zippy acidity in the grapes, while long daylight hours give the fruit plenty of chance to ripen. This results in full-bodied Merlot, elegant Cabernet Sauvignon and deeply concentrated Syrah. White wines are just as tantalizing, with toasty oak-touched Chardonnay and ripe stone fruit-flavored Riesling taking the spotlight. Sub-AVAs to look out for are Yakima Valley and Walla Walla. The Columbia Valley is one of the only appellations in the United States to occupy vineyards in two states, as it crosses the Oregon border in the southern part of the valley.

  • A figure representing the Grapefruit tasting note. Grapefruit

On the nose, aromas of cotton candy and ripe red berries jump out of the glass. This is a classic example of a wine that smells sweet but isn't. The palate is light, lean and dry with mouthwatering flavors of candied grapefruit, strawberry and pomegranate.
