About This Wine

Tulares Valley

Pinot Grigio

"Best of Class," "Best of Lodi," a Double Gold Medal, and 95 points are four tremendous reasons for you to try our Pinot Grigio.
Our Tulares Valley 2020 Pinot Grigio is a light and energetic wine infused with the spirit of paradise. This friendly sipper evokes a longing for the kiss of sunshine, which is something its grapes had plenty of. Lodi's warm Mediterranean climate is nestled between the Sierra Nevada mountains to the east and the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta to the west. This viticultural paradise allows Pinot Grigio to ripen fully, encouraging its flavors to evolve into tropical fruit. During the afternoons, cooling maritime winds, known locally as the "Delta Breezes," refresh the region's inland vineyards. This wine is one of many well-balanced examples of why grape growers in Lodi have had such historical success. Notes of exotic fruit and citrus accompany gentle acidity to make each sip calmly refreshing. This bottle is at its best when served chilled and paired with a lunchtime meet-up with friends, a weekend excursion, or after a long day of work. Wine Region

Lodi

The jewel of the Central Valley, Lodi lies just east of the California Delta in an area of varied terroir. Winemakers here can extract different grape variety expressions from each plot of land. Zinfandel is common here, making deeply fruity and tantalizingly smoky wines, often from old vines. But the deep loamy soils and balmy Mediterranean climate, with its warm days and cool nights, help keep Lodi's grape varieties and winemaking styles impressively diverse. Alongside the ubiquitous Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Viognier also thrive. Lodi is a melting pot of different grape varieties and winemaking techniques, all of which make it a rewarding region to explore.
