About This Wine

McBride Sisters

Rose

Derived from the French verb meaning “to find,” Truvée delivers a rosé that meets everything you’re looking for in a summer wine. Stylistically centered between Old World and New, this rosé offers a sophisticated balance of bright fruit flavor and juicy acidity. The 2015 comes from a blend of southern Rhône varieties sourced entirely from the Paso Robles region: Grenache to set a rich and fruit-forward foundation, Syrah to round out the structure and a touch of Tempranillo and Rousanne for added complexity. The region’s microclimate, impacted by the Pacific Ocean, has extreme swings between daytime and nighttime temperatures that ripen the grapes with intense fruit flavor while retaining acidity and structure in the wine. Fermented at low temperatures in 100% stainless steel for a fresh and vibrant appeal, the grapes acquired complexity, depth and varietal expressiveness from the ideally warm and dry growing season of 2015. Strawberry, raspberry and nuanced floral aromas lead into a refreshing palate with big acid underpinning bright wild berry and Meyer lemon. This rosé culminates in a crisp, dry finish that delights with Spanish tapas or on its own on a clear and sunny day.

Truvée 2015 Rosé Central Coast California

Wine Region

Central Coast

California's Central Coast might be a bit quieter than Napa or Sonoma to the north, but this lesser-known region produces many world-class wines. Enjoying incredible terroir along its vast 280-mile stretch—from San Francisco Bay to Santa Barbara—Central Coast wines are increasingly in demand. Its position between the Pacific Coast Ranges and the Southern Coast Ranges is key to its quality, with many cool-climate AVAs offering elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. In the hotter parts of the Central Coast, away from the coastal fogs and cold mountain slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are exceptional.
