About This Wine

Trozo

Sauvignon Blanc

We invite you to experience something stunning and bright. The charismatic and friendly flavor profile of our Trozo Sauvignon Blanc is shaped by the nurturing climate of Chile’s Maule Valley. Exotic fruit notes and colorful textures make this wine the ideal companion to creativity. These grapes spend their days under the warm rays of the Chilean sun, which magnifies Sauvignon Blanc’s already prominent fruit-forward character. Cool nighttime temperatures protect the grape’s lively acidity levels, ensuring the wine’s textures remain just as dynamic as its flavors. Every aspect of this wine mirrors the playful and vibrant energy of its artistic label. You’ll find it fits seamlessly into many different occasions, including gatherings with close friends or casual afternoons spent in your backyard. Enjoy it well chilled on its own or alongside creamy cheeses and fresh fruit. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.

Trozo 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Maule Valley DO, Chile

Wine Region

Maule Valley

When it comes to well-balanced reds of great value, Chile's Maule Valley is hard to beat. The southernmost part of Chile's Central Valley, Maule is a large sub-region with many microclimates and soil types. The Maule River and the nearby Pacific Ocean both greatly influence its climate. Maule was one of the first places in Chile planted with grapevines. It is famed today for its 100-year-old Carignan vines and the densely sumptuous wines they produce. More typical, however, are its powerful Cabernet Sauvignon, spicy aromatic Carménère and plush Merlot reds. For whites, check out Maule's cheery Sauvignon Blanc and rounded Chardonnay. Chile’s Denominación de Origen (DO) classification system focuses on separating wines by the physical location of origin. To use the DO classification on a label, a producer must have pulled 85 percent of the fruit used in a wine from a defined regional location. The DO system names wine regions in the country from north to south.

  • A figure representing the Melon tasting note. Melon
  • A figure representing the Wet Stone tasting note. Wet Stone

Ripe melon and guava aromas introduce a tropical profile. The body is crisp and refreshing with notes of ripe pineapple. A mouthwatering, mineral-like texture similar to wet gravel controls the mouthfeel alongside sharp acidity for a clean finish after every sip.
