About This Wine
Titiritero
Bonarda – Syrah – Malbec
Titiritero, which directly translates into “puppeteer,” is a beautiful metaphor for the role of a winemaker. By featuring a thoughtful triad of Argentina’s signature grape varieties for our 2021 vintage, the winemakers have composed a flavorful blend displaying dense dark fruit flavors and alluring hints of oak and spice. Our wine’s fruit-forward mid-palate is evidence of its headlining grape, Bonarda. This lesser-known grape is usually found waiting off stage as its popular vineyard partner Malbec steals the show. However, as 60 percent of this blend, this gifted understudy has been given a chance to shine. Another unlikely star in South America, Syrah—which comprises 24 percent of the blend—creates the notable peppery aromatics of this wine and the deep color you see in your glass. Lastly, Argentinian superstar Malbec makes up the final 16 percent, adding more fruit and juicy textures for an applause-worthy presentation of Argentinan winemaking.
