The Garda region of Northern Italy is a genuinely classic Mediterranean place. Situated on Italy’s largest lake, Lake Garda, the landscape is dotted with cypress, olive, and lemon trees, making it beautifully picturesque. The appellation sees warm days full of sunshine during the growing season, a perfect climate for wine. A cooling breeze comes off of the water, which assists in moderating temperatures, giving fruit a bit of a relief from the bright sun. Varietals that thrive in warmer climates without needing much babysitting during the growing season do incredibly well in Garda, and this stunning Pinot Grigio is no exception! This wine is plush, textural, and rich with plentiful citrus notes. Uncomplicated but full of sophistication, every sip has a lively acidity that will make your mouth water and have you going back for glass after glass.
