Threaded Tale

A round, full body with saturated flavors of stewed black fruit and festive baking spices position our Threaded Tale Merlot on the riper side of its varietal spectrum. This adaptable grape can create austere wines that present fresh red fruits or, in this case, can weave a delectable narrative of rich, dark fruit flavor. Merlot's story began in the historical region of Bordeaux, where it is still highly revered as one of the region's Noble Grapes. Its journey to the New World began upon its arrival to California in the mid-1800s. Since then, Merlot has been planted throughout the state's sun-soaked vineyards. Lodi's Mediterranean climate provides ideal conditions for this variety to thrive with warm daytime temperatures, cooling afternoon breezes, and rocky, well-drained soils. Our Threaded Tale Merlot is exceptionally food-friendly and pairs well with pre-dinner charcuterie or right alongside the main course.
