About This Wine

Thicket

Zinfandel

Abundant oaky and spicy characteristics join ripe red berry notes to shape the flavor profile of our Thicket Zinfandel. The longer this wine sits in your glass, the more it draws you in. Lodi, California, is home to some of the oldest Zinfandel vines in North America. The region's warm sunshine and cool breezes allow grapes to reach perfectly plump levels of ripeness, creating an excellent canvas for winemakers. Zinfandel is admired for its ability to shapeshift. Some wines showcase its fresh and fruity side. Others—like the wine you're about to uncork— are dynamic expressions that have gone through oak aging. This wine is an excellent way to end the work day or start the weekend, so call your friends or queue up your favorite show and enjoy. Wine Region

Lodi

The jewel of the Central Valley, Lodi lies just east of the California Delta in an area of varied terroir. Winemakers here can extract different grape variety expressions from each plot of land. Zinfandel is common here, making deeply fruity and tantalizingly smoky wines, often from old vines. But the deep loamy soils and balmy Mediterranean climate, with its warm days and cool nights, help keep Lodi's grape varieties and winemaking styles impressively diverse. Alongside the ubiquitous Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Viognier also thrive. Lodi is a melting pot of different grape varieties and winemaking techniques, all of which make it a rewarding region to explore.

  • A figure representing the Caramel tasting note. Caramel

Swirl your glass to allow caramel and black tea notes to find your nose. As you take a sip, raspberry flavors join the warming notes of cinnamon. Tannins create a light drying sensation on the finish, indicating that this would make a perfect pairing with grilled meats.
