About This Wine

Sunscript

Red Blend

All aspects of winemaking come together beautifully in our Red Blend from Platinum Award-winning Sunscript. This wine is a delicious reflection of its environment, with enticing dark fruit flavors and complex oak characteristics. Each sip illuminates the journey from grape to glass. The sun-drenched hillsides of California’s Central Coast AVA allow this fruit to experience a long, dry growing season, resulting in optimal ripeness and flavor concentration. With this flavorful foundation, the winemaker puts the wine in oak barrels, which adds complexity and a touch of spice as the wine ages. Each aspect of the wine has been carefully considered and brought together masterfully in the bottle. Once you pop the cork, you will taste every impact of the winemaking process, from the influence of the grape’s environment to each decision of the winemaker. This wine would pair well with food but would do equally well on its own. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.

Wine Region

Central Coast

California's Central Coast might be a bit quieter than Napa or Sonoma to the north, but this lesser-known region produces many world-class wines. Enjoying incredible terroir along its vast 280-mile stretch—from San Francisco Bay to Santa Barbara—Central Coast wines are increasingly in demand. Its position between the Pacific Coast Ranges and the Southern Coast Ranges is key to its quality, with many cool-climate AVAs offering elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. In the hotter parts of the Central Coast, away from the coastal fogs and cold mountain slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are exceptional.

Tasting Notes

  • A figure representing the Cloves tasting note. Cloves
  • A figure representing the Blackcurrant tasting note. Blackcurrant
  • A figure representing the Oak tasting note. Oak

An intensely oak-driven aromatic profile with notes of sweet vanilla and spicy clove. Noteworthy fruit characteristics on the palate but remain understated with ripe flavors of blackcurrant. A complex earthiness, gentle acidity, and robust tannins create a long-lasting and textural finish.
