About This Wine
St. Audette Lumière
Chardonnay
Chardonnay is easily one of the world’s most popular varietals, and this award-winning wine is particularly special. Our winemaking partners are experts in their craft, creating beautiful and admirable wines from one of the most stunning appellations in France. The Pays d’Oc is a region in the Southwest portion of the country just north of Spain’s border and experiences a moderate Mediterranean climate. Hot days and dry winds create an idyllic environment for the varietal. The fruit used for this particular vintage was grown on soils made up of pebbles and dense rocks that are layered with minerals. After harvest, grapes were fermented at low temperatures with light aging on the lees, giving the final wine a silky and lean texture. Green fruit and slight citrus flavors are complemented by salinity and bold white floral aromas. Critics love this just as much as we do! A 90 point score and a Gold Medal from the 2020 Sommelier Challenge makes this beautiful bottle just about perfect. Enjoy! Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.
