About This Wine

Red Blend

This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.

Winemaking The 2023 vintage showcases the harmony of small lot fermentation and extended maceration, where individually nurtured vineyard blocks are blended to highlight concentrated flavors, refined tannins, and the signature depth of Napa Valley reds.

Vintage The 2023 Napa Valley vintage is shaping up to be a benchmark year for red wines, offering an extraordinary balance of power and finesse. A long, cool growing season with extended hang time allowed the grapes to achieve full ripeness, showcasing concentrated flavors and vibrant acidity. Winemakers employed meticulous viticultural practices, including small lot fermentation and extended maceration, that have resulted in a vintage of profound depth, structure, and longevity. They also used certified organic farming and sustainability techniques to enhance the complexity and purity of this year's fruit.

Pairing Logic This bold and balanced red blend is a natural companion for grilled meats, hearty stews, or roasted vegetables with earthy herbs. Its rich fruit, floral notes, and touch of spice shine alongside dishes featuring dark sauces or a hint of smoky char.

Wine Region

Napa Valley

Napa gained international acclaim following the Judgement of Paris in 1976, when its wines defeated its French counterparts in a blind tasting. Napa's signature wines are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and various Bordeaux blends, but many other varieties, such as Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc also thrive here. With 16 sub-AVAs and a Mediterranean climate with rich geology, Napa is a winemaker's dream. The winegrowing region runs between the Mayacamas Mountains and Vaca Mountains for 30 miles, from Calistoga to Los Carneros. Napa has a wide array of soil types for such a small region, from volcanic foothills to alluvial valley floors, which help to produce varied and complex wines.
