About This Wine

Sir Oscar Darby

Cabernet Sauvignon

Sir Oscar Darby offers an authentic taste of South Australian Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is full-bodied and juicy with a mix of red and dark fruit flavors. While classic Australian Shiraz is well known throughout the wine world, its Cabernet Sauvignons are equally impressive. Following its introduction in 1832, Cabernet plantings struggled to prosper. Winemakers at the time persevered, adapted and eventually mastered this new growing environment, recognizing the importance of careful site selection. Nowadays, this French-born variety is one of South Australia’s most planted grapes, where it benefits from high temperatures throughout the long, dry growing season. Australian Cabs are big, bold, fruit-forward reds, and this bottle is no exception. Enjoy a kicked-back evening with your mates, or bring it along to your next barbecue and share the diversity and excitement of Australian wine with the whole family. Wine Region

South Australia

From juicy, full-bodied Shiraz and bold Rhône-style blends to deliciously buttery, oak-touched Chardonnay and surprisingly elegant Rieslings, South Australia is renowned for its wide array of crowd-pleasing wines. The key is the state's diverse geography and climate. With hot, dry regions like Riverland and cool, coastal areas like the Adelaide Hills, winemakers have an incredible range of grapes and styles at their disposal. South Australia is responsible for more than half of Australia's total wine production and makes some of the country's most prominent wine labels. It is also home to world-famous regions like Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Clare Valley.

  • A figure representing the Mulberry tasting note. Mulberry

Extroverted aromas of cherry and vanilla waft above the rim of your glass, serving as a friendly greeting to this fruit-focused wine. A sturdy tannic backbone supports the body with modest acidity, making for a plush, weighty palate filled with ripe blackberry and mulberry flavors.
