About This Wine
Silver Oak
Cabernet Sauvignon
This vintage is so fresh it hasn't even had time to be rated by critics. In 2017, the final blend was transferred to oak barrels, where it aged for an additional 24 months in homemade American oak barrels. Half of the barrels were new and imparted notes of bay leaf, coconut, and vanilla to the Cabernet, while the other half allowed the rich fruit flavors of Cabernet to shine. With grapes from the Alexander Valley, the northernmost valley of California's wine country, the fruit is superb. Many even say this is preferable to their Napa releases today. Regardless the wine is ready to drink today or can be cellared for decades to come.

Tasting Notes
- Raspberry
- Vanilla
- Blackberry
The 2016 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby in color with a magenta rim. It has an enticing nose of cassis, blackberry, vanilla, sage, and spearmint. This wine builds from potpourri and bramble to a bright pop of raspberry on the mid-palate. A juicy finish with chewy tannins and a medium length can be aged through 2042 with proper cellaring.
