About This Wine
Sestien Wind Cellars
Sauvignon Blanc
Our Sestien Wind Cellars Sauvignon Blanc comes from South Africa’s iconic Western Cape. This region is known for its dramatic scenery, complex history and stunning wines. Our 2021 vintage captures the essence of a sun-soaked, windy coastline with its refreshing aromatics, crisp acidity and exotic fruit flavors. Winemaking in South Africa may be considered up and coming, but its viticultural history dates back to 1652. Our local winemaking partners are among South Africa’s oldest family-owned estates and one of the first vineyards established in the Robertson Wine Valley. This experience guides them as they mindfully harvest these Sauvignon Blanc grapes at three stages of ripeness to capture a balance of herbaceous character and ripe tropical fruit. Under the cork, you will find an exciting expression of modern South African winemaking shaped by this region’s rich history. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.
