Sentido Contrario

Our 2020 Pinot Noir features delectable layers of toasty oak influence, red fruit and spice. This rich Pinot Noir is the debut release from our exciting new brand. Sentido Contrario directly translates to "opposite direction." This name is a nod to Chilean horseracing, where riders race around the track clockwise instead of counterclockwise as they do in Europe. This brand plays into the idea that while Chile has been heavily influenced by European (mainly French) winemaking traditions, they have successfully established their own styles and carved a space for themselves among the winemaking powerhouses of the world. The Maule Valley is one of Chile's oldest regions and is home to diverse grape varieties and winemaking approaches. Our Pinot Noir shows off a fuller, oak-driven style instead of the lighter, fruitier Pinots you may have encountered. Enjoy it with friends, and never be afraid to try a new direction.
