About This Wine

Scissor Kick Cellars

Sauvignon Blanc–Sémillon

Our 2019 Scissor Kick Cellars Sauvignon Blanc–Sémillon from South Australia is a double award-winner—it was given a Gold Medal and 90 points from the critics at the 2021 West Coast Wine Competition and is a beautiful reflection of the gorgeous wines coming out of South Australia. The region is considered to be the mecca for Australian wine production, with over half of the bottles exported each year coming from the stunning vineyards planted in the appellation. With an environment near-perfect for grape growing, bright and opulent fruit like what is used in this blend do particularly well in the appellation. This blend is primarily Sauvignon Blanc, with about a third Sémillon. Fruit was sourced from vineyards in a warmer part of South Australia and experienced a traditional Mediterranean climate. Wine Region

South Australia

From juicy, full-bodied Shiraz and bold Rhône-style blends to deliciously buttery, oak-touched Chardonnay and surprisingly elegant Rieslings, South Australia is renowned for its wide array of crowd-pleasing wines. The key is the state's diverse geography and climate. With hot, dry regions like Riverland and cool, coastal areas like the Adelaide Hills, winemakers have an incredible range of grapes and styles at their disposal. South Australia is responsible for more than half of Australia's total wine production and makes some of the country's most prominent wine labels. It is also home to world-famous regions like Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Clare Valley.
