About This Wine

Scissor Kick Cellars

Shiraz

A generally warm climate with maritime influences near the coast, South Australia's winegrowing acreage covers countless appellations, though the most well-known are arguably Barossa Valley and Clare Valley. The region is the true heart of Australian wine production, putting out over half the wines exported from the country each year. An environment where bright sunny days are balanced by cooling winds and ample rain in the off-season provides idyllic conditions for grape growing. The most famous of the country's varietals is easily Shiraz, and our Scissor Kick Cellars Shiraz is a gorgeous representation of why this wine is so beloved. Our 2019 vintage is approachable and intense all at the same time. Deep in color, a spicy and savory characteristic jumps out of the glass and melds with dark fruit flavors. Every sip is well-balanced and incredibly enjoyable. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.

Wine Region

South Australia

From juicy, full-bodied Shiraz and bold Rhône-style blends to deliciously buttery, oak-touched Chardonnay and surprisingly elegant Rieslings, South Australia is renowned for its wide array of crowd-pleasing wines. The key is the state's diverse geography and climate. With hot, dry regions like Riverland and cool, coastal areas like the Adelaide Hills, winemakers have an incredible range of grapes and styles at their disposal. South Australia is responsible for more than half of Australia's total wine production and makes some of the country's most prominent wine labels. It is also home to world-famous regions like Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Clare Valley.
