With a heritage as fine as the Royal Tokaji, it's okay to expect a lot from a wine. With 6 puttonyos of sugar (which means that this is considered a conventionally sweet wine as opposed to semi-sweet or dry) this is a wine that you should take your time with. This is the 14th vintage of Red Label since the company’s founding in 1990. With even a bit more sugar than the 5 Puttonyos wine, this wine is sweet, yet it’s also deeply savory, with marzipan, mushroom, and ferrous mineral tones packed around the honeyed peach flavor. Acidity keeps it brisk and clean, ready to pair with a cheese plate.
