Due to the rainshadow cast by the Cascade Mountains, conditions in this small region are comparable to a desert. Red grapes easily reach peak ripeness, developing the bold fruit flavors that serve as our blend’s backbone. In the same way that a rebus puzzle assembles a word using pictures and letters, our winemakers have pieced together a delicious wine by combining unique aspects of the growing region as it changes from year to year. In doing so, they have created a blend that offers freshness and fruit-forward character alongside the nuance and complexity achieved only through barrel aging.
