About This Wine

Rancho Campo

Torrontés

Rancho Campo harnesses the rustic beauty of high-altitude winemaking. With an earlier vintage having earned multiple awards, including a Gold Medal at an international wine competition, our 2021 vintage is aromatic and textural with sweet floral scents, zesty citrus flavors, and hints of exotic fruit. While this light white grape may seem delicate, it thrives in some of the toughest growing conditions in the world. Mendoza is home to towering peaks and extreme diurnal temperature shifts. The majority of this region’s vineyards are planted between 2,000 and 4,000 feet above sea level. At these heights, the sun’s rays intensify, encouraging the development of ripe fruit flavors — cold temperatures set in at night, which slows ripening and maintains the wine’s refreshing acidity. Vineyard crews must brave the rugged terrain, climbing harrowing switchbacks to farm these impressive vineyards. With each exquisite sip, it is evident that their efforts were well worth it. Wine Region

Mendoza

Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.
