About This Wine

Rancho Campo

Malbec

Not only does its rugged terrain make it the perfect destination for your next adventure, Argentina is also synonymous with quality Malbec. This noble grape variety is planted throughout the world but thrives atop the mountains of Mendoza. Vineyards here reach some of the highest elevations worldwide, often grown at 2,600 to 4,000 feet above sea level. The dry, scorching days are significantly impacted by the altitude. Afternoon winds from the western side of the nearby Andes Mountains alleviate the high daytime temperatures across the plateau. Here the soils are low in fertility and quick-draining, which creates an ideal environment for wine growing. Our newest vintage of Rancho Campo Malbec represents the rich heritage of Argentinian winemaking. Full-bodied and lush, this wine features dark fruit flavors and velvety tannins. Made to be paired with foods that are equally flavorful such as crispy empanadas or Choripán, we encourage you to bring this bottle along to your next Asado or savor it with someone special. Rancho Campo 2019 Malbec Mendoza, Argentina

Wine Region

Mendoza

Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.
