About This Wine

Ramón Bilbao

Albariño

A wise wine with all the knowledge and flavor of the Rioja Alta. Ramón Bilbao Reserve is made using grapes from their vineyards at Rioja Alta, with an average age of 40 years, to bring out this subregion's character where the reserve and great reserve wines are historic to the area. Each plot is harvested in small crates on the day that the grapes achieve perfect ripeness. The clusters then pass over the sorting table from which only the best berries go on to be processed. The juice used in Ramón Bilbao is slowly fermented in tanks to bring out the freshness and exotic character of the Albariño.

Ramón Bilbao 2019 Albariño Rías Baixas, Spain

Wine Region

Rías Baixas

The verdant Rías Baixas in Spain's rainy northwest may not have the tourist appeal of the southern coasts, but it is known for producing some of the country's best dry white wines. The most famous is the fragrant and zingy Albariño, which has found a dedicated fanbase among wine lovers. Usually made in a refreshing, unoaked style, this sought-after wine combines tangy citrus notes with ripe flavors of nectarine and honeydew. Look out too for notes of saline from those cool Atlantic breezes.
