About This Wine
Rakes Point Merroir
Sauvignon Blanc
Vineyards planted in the North Coast appellation of California sit at high altitudes on the tops of rolling hills and in deep valley floors. A truly picturesque landscape, the region boasts a near-perfect environment for winegrowing. Hot and dry days with bright, sunny skies allow fruit to fully ripen, but once the sun goes down, temperatures drop significantly. This diurnal shift will enable grapes to rest in the evening while developing natural acidity and beautifully concentrated flavors. Our 2020 Rakes Point Merroir Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect representation of the varietal that thrives in the North Coast environment. Wine experts love it, too—our last vintage earned a 91 point score and a Gold Medal from the 2020 Sunset Magazine International Wine Competition! Fruit-forward citrus and tropical flavors are enhanced by a sweet and succulent palate. A slight minerality and approachable acidity make the mouth water for glass after glass.
