Cava Brut
Our Punt Comú Cava Brut offers plush textures balanced by crisp acidity. Its aromas of freshly baked biscuits invite you into a refreshing palate bursting with ripe orchard fruit flavors. Spain's Mediterranean climate is ideal for winegrowing, where sun-filled days develop rich fruit flavors to accompany the grape's naturally crisp acidity. Native varieties, Macabeo, Parellada, and Xarel-lo, thrive in this environment and are used to create Spain's famous sparkling wine, cava. Cava follows the same traditional sparkling winemaking method as champagne. The wines undergo a second fermentation in the bottle to form delightful, energetic bubbles. Then, regional guidelines ensure every bottle is aged for at least nine months in contact with its sediment (lees). This adds the complex bready notes and slight creaminess this style is prized for.
