About This Wine

PrimaZona

Malbec

If Mendoza is the center of Argentinian winemaking, Malbec is that center's heart and soul. Malbec is a fan-favorite all across the world and never disappoints. Vineyards planted in Mendoza experience an incredibly unique climate and are planted anywhere from 2,500 to 4,000 feet above sea level. The vineyards endure hot, dry daytime temperatures but are relieved by cooling breezes that come off the Andes Mountains. This climate allows full ripening and development of concentrated flavors and varietal signature acidity. A wine made to pair with rich and textural foods, our PrimaZona Malbec is the perfect complement to a fun Friday game night with friends. It will make you appreciate the romanticism of winegrowing, so much so that you might book the next flight to Argentina! Round and plush with stunning aromatics and fresh fruit flavors, this will be a sure win for all wine lovers. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.

Wine Region

Mendoza

Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.
