“Best of South Africa” Posted Accord returns with a new wine in this refreshing 2021 Dry Rosé. Our winemakers agreed that this rosé was both refreshing and “a bit wild.” This description is on par with what we can expect from the exciting vineyards of Swartland, South Africa. Our rosé’s red fruit, bramble-like nature, and mouthwatering textures offer an approachable taste of this untamed region. In this hot, dry climate, the risk of drought is ever-present. Luckily for our local winemaking partners, shale soils with pockets of granite hang onto moisture longer than average, helping keep the vines well-hydrated. The vine’s roots dive deep into the earth in search of water, and while there, they also discover vital minerals and nutrients, resulting in a distinctly South African flavor profile.
