About This Wine

Pip & Plow

Sauvignon Blanc

Making great wine takes a lot of time, dedication, and hard work. Pip + Plow is named to honor that process, from planting the pip (the grape seed) to plowing the vineyards, to harvesting and fermenting. The wine process is a craft that thrives on quality and perfect timing. Winemakers everywhere work from pip to glass to bring wine-lovers a quality bottle of wine. Dedication to the craft is why Pip + Plow wins so many awards. With juicy notes of citrus, melon, and a touch of fig this Sauvignon Blanc has classic flavors that come from the majority Lodi grapes. The mild notes of lemongrass play beautifully off of grilled fish, sautéed prawns, or even squid. Judges love it too! It took home 93 points and a Gold medal from the 2019 West Coast Wine Competition.

Wine Region

California

California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.
