About This Wine
Pip & Plow
Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon – Malbec Blend
Contrary to the cold and wet reputation that the Pacific Northwest has, the Columbia Valley in Washington State is an almost desert-like spot. An incredibly unique region, the appellation is tucked into the central part of the state and sees minimal rainfall during the growing season, experiencing a classic continental climate. This Cabernet Sauvignon is a gorgeous representation of how the terroir of an appellation can be seen in the final bottle. Winemaking chose to mature wine in the cellar before being bottled and then had the wine sit in bottle for additional aging. This effort created an elegant and beautiful bottle, perfect for special occasions and crafted to pair with food. Made in an authentic Old World style, forward fruit flavors do not star here, but rather balanced notes of deep floral aromas and deep red fruit meld together with perfectly integrated tannins.
