This blend is made of 85% Zinfandel and 15% Petite Sirah. These grape varieties have thick, deep purple skins with flavors of lush fruit. They require a lot of heat and sunshine to develop their full spectrum of flavor. In the warm climate of California, these grapes take advantage of the state's long growing season and consistent sunlight, which allows their flavors and tannins to reach peak ripeness. This means that come harvest, the pulp of this fruit is packed with sugar, and the tannins in the skins have become a soft, velvety texture. With skilled winemaking, the best attributes of these grapes are accentuated. Our wine displays sweet black fruit flavor with soft tannins and a full body.
