The term “New World” is thrown around often when talking about wine. Largely it means that the wine is not from Europe, but more importantly, it means that the winemaker is free from the constrictions and systems of the old world that regulate what grapes can be grown in a vineyard. New World wineries are free to experiment and give in to the spirit of innovation. In our opinion Zinfandel is the spirit of California wine in a glass. Using an old-world grape varietal, the producers of the “Golden State” have made a new style of their own. This bright red wine has strong fruit flavors and a juicy mouthfeel with a long finish. We think it's history in a bottle.
