About This Wine
No Co
Late Summer Red
This Red blend comes from the North Coast of California and is largely Syrah and Petit Sirah with just a touch of Merlot. Fun fact: Syrah wasn’t planted in California until the 1970s. We have to say that we have loved being around to observe its meteoric rise. This blend was made to pair with full-bodied, late summer grilled dishes. The blackberry, blueberry, vanilla, and tobacco all meld to create a perfect mélange that should accompany your barbecue, lamb chops, or grilled duck breast. Enjoy sipping this as the sun goes down over the water. And judges love it too! It took home 91 Points and a Gold medal from the 2019 Sommelier Challenge.
