About This Wine

Nicolas Feuillatte

Brut Reserve Champagne

This is an iconic Champagne that encapsulates the Nicolas Feuillatte house style. It's a reserve, which means that it has spent time aging, and it's brut, which means that it's fermented dry. There should be no sugary-sweet flavors in this wine. It pulls grapes from across the Champagne region, and every inch comes together to reveal the bounty of an amazing place. The extensive time cellar-aging brings an appealing maturity that provides a perfect style and consistency to the wines. It's refreshing and can handle any complex pairings that you throw at it. We think that Champagne is criminally underused with food. The connotations of holidays and celebrations might ring strong, but remember to celebrate the every day with this Champagne.

Nicolas Feuillatte NV Brut Reserve Champagne Chouilly-France

Wine Region

Chouilly

If you were to find yourself in France's Champagne region and followed Épernay's famous Avenue de Champagne, you would end up in the charming village of Chouilly. Famed internationally for its Grand Cru vineyards and locally for its geese rearing, fans of elegant, citrussy Chardonnay adore Chouilly. Part of the famous Côte des Blancs area, its vineyards sit on east-facing slopes where the chalky soils produce some of the finest Chardonnay fruit. Chouilly's grapes are so good, in fact, that most of them are bought by the big Champagne houses. Mostly dry, with good minerality, Chouilly wine is exquisite in either still or sparkling form.
