About This Wine

Musa Noctuaria

Tempranillo

Like Musa to our ears—our Tempranillo just earned a "Best of Class" award and 98 points from the 2022 Los Angeles Invitational Wine & Spirits Challenge!
From one of our most awarded Spanish brands comes this sensational new release. Our Musa Noctuaria 2020 Tempranillo radiates with fresh, floral aromas contrasted by rich and savory dark fruit flavors. Our local winemaking partners have mastered Spain’s terroir, working in a climate with little rainfall and high daily temperatures. Tempranillo is indigenous to this landscape and, having spent its life adapting to the unique micro and macro climates, thrives in every aspect of its environment. Spain’s continental climate brings out the best of this variety’s ripe fruit flavors, while cool nights prevent overripening. To experience our wine’s captivating flavors and textures at their best, serve at room temperature paired with smoked meats and hard cheeses. Or, for an additional layer of decadence, save a glass for dessert to enjoy alongside dried fruits and dark chocolate. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.

Wine Region

Spain

While its reputation as a serious wine destination was eclipsed by France and Italy for many years, ignoring Spain today means missing out on some of the world's most exciting wines. Enjoying hundreds of miles of sun-kissed coastline and rocky interiors at higher elevations, Spain provides an ideal location for vineyards. Whether it is sparkling cavas from Catalonia, crisp Verdejos from Rueda, sublime Tempranillos from Ribera del Duero or inky Monastrells from Valencia, Spain has many wine styles to explore, all expressing the country's wildly unique terroir.
