About This Wine

Musa Noctuaria

Airén

The warm, dry Mediterranean climate of Spain is perfect for winegrowing, so it's no surprise that the country is home to throngs of beloved wines that are drank across the world. The coastal influences that come off the bordering Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea provide fruit with relief from the typically sunny days but create an environment that lets varietals of all kinds thrive. Our 2020 Musa Noctuaria Airén is a surprising sleeper that will have you reaching for another glass. Crafted alongside our partners in Spain who have been making wine for over 50 years, winemaker Antonio Muñoz fermented our beautiful wine in stainless steel tanks allowing the fruit to speak for itself. Airén is Spain's most widely planted white grape but is used primarily for brandy. On rare occasions, it is bottled as a stand-alone varietal, and when it is, it is not one to pass up! Wine Region

Spain

While its reputation as a serious wine destination was eclipsed by France and Italy for many years, ignoring Spain today means missing out on some of the world's most exciting wines. Enjoying hundreds of miles of sun-kissed coastline and rocky interiors at higher elevations, Spain provides an ideal location for vineyards. Whether it is sparkling cavas from Catalonia, crisp Verdejos from Rueda, sublime Tempranillos from Ribera del Duero or inky Monastrells from Valencia, Spain has many wine styles to explore, all expressing the country's wildly unique terroir.
