About This Wine

Grenache Blanc

Tucked into the heart of Southern France, Pays d'Oc is a stunning winegrowing region. With constant exposure to the Mediterranean Sea, vineyards planted experience the classic climate of the region—warm and sunny days that are slightly tempered by maritime influences allowing fruit to fully ripen. Our 2019 Grenache Blanc reflects Southern France's lifestyle in its lightness and brightness that emulate the coast. The 2019 vintage, in particular, yielded less fruit overall, but what was picked had beautiful concentration. Grenache Blanc is made similarly to rosé by pressing out the juice from red grapes and quickly getting rid of skins and seeds. Our winemakers focused on bottling this wine shortly after aging was complete in order to preserve freshness and retain its natural acidity. On the nose, beautiful white floral aromas jump out of the glass and complement stone fruit flavors. An approachable minerality balances out herbaceous notes at the end of each sip. A perfect pair for lighter dishes, this wine will be a crowd pleaser!

Wine Region

Pays d'Oc

If you've vacationed in the south of France, you've probably visited the Pays d'Oc region. Embracing the Mediterranean from Spain to Provence, this region is famed as much for its Grenache, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as its endless sunshine. Pays d'Oc covers non-AOC wines made across this large, sun-kissed region, known as France's "New World." Far from the regulations of the AOC system, pioneering winemakers headed here to experiment, crafting many now-famous wines that often state their grape variety on the label—not something that was common in France before then. IGP (Indication Géographique Protégée) within France’s wine classification system focuses on controlling regional and geographical origin. The category is less restrictive than the AOC classification and gives winemakers more freedom with style and taste profile when creating wines.

On the nose, white floral aromas of honeysuckle and jasmine jump out of the glass, melding with flavors of white peach, Asian pear, and tart lime zest. A salty minerality rounds out the back end of each sip and complements an approachable acidity. Full-bodied, plush, and enjoyable now.
