About This Wine

Longitude 120 West

Fume Blanc

This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.

Winemaking To build a beautiful expression of rustic luxury, our winemaking team utilizes a texture-focused approach in the cellar. Following gentle cluster pressing, the juice undergoes fermentation across a split combination of concrete vessels and French oak. We then mature the wine on its fine lees in neutral French oak barrels for several months. Regular lees stirring, or bâtonnage, imparts a rich, creamy mid-palate weight and integrates delicate vanilla notes. This process masterfully tames the grape's wild acidity without masking its underlying mineral line.

Vintage The 2025 vintage was defined by exceptional balance across Napa Valley's cooler sub-regions. Sourced primarily from sites heavily impacted by the morning fog and maritime cooling patterns of the San Pablo Bay, the grapes experienced an extended, slow ripening cycle. Moderate summer heat prevented rapid sugar spikes, enabling the berries to develop complex varietal flavors alongside mature phenolic components. The resulting harvest provided the winemaking team with pristine fruit that successfully boasts both structural weight and refreshing clarity.

Pairing Logic This Fumé Blanc seamlessly balances an inviting roundness with a clean, underlying brightness. Because it is light and creamy rather than bone-dry, it serves as an excellent culinary foil for rich sauces, earthy elements and roasted poultry. A classic roast chicken seasoned with herbes de Provence matches the wine's orchard fruit notes and savory undertones effortlessly. For a luxurious vegetarian option, the decadent cream base of fettuccine Alfredo with wild mushrooms or a comforting butternut squash risotto will latch onto the vanilla oak nuance, highlighting the wine's smooth, rounded mouthfeel.

Wine Region

Napa Valley

Napa Valley

Napa gained international acclaim following the Judgement of Paris in 1976, when its wines defeated its French counterparts in a blind tasting. Napa's signature wines are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and various Bordeaux blends, but many other varieties, such as Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc also thrive here. With 16 sub-AVAs and a Mediterranean climate with rich geology, Napa is a winemaker's dream. The winegrowing region runs between the Mayacamas Mountains and Vaca Mountains for 30 miles, from Calistoga to Los Carneros. Napa has a wide array of soil types for such a small region, from volcanic foothills to alluvial valley floors, which help to produce varied and complex wines.
