About This Wine

La Arauca

Dry Rosé

Our Gold Medal-winning La Arauca Dry Rosé is an embodiment of Chile’s vibrant culture. This fresh and fruity wine is bursting with floral aromas and plump berry flavors. Each sip will transport you to bustling Chilean streets packed with local vendors. Enchanting scents of traditional street food waft through the air as bright colors and lively music set the stage for excitement. Much like this dynamic country, our rosé will captivate your senses and ignite a passion for adventure. This is the perfect bottle to grab when you’re itching to switch up your wine routine. It’s a bit fruitier than the rosés of Provence but show drier styling than California’s sweeter pink wines. Bring a taste of Chilean culture into your home by serving our rosé well chilled alongside fried empanadas, and dance the night away to festive music. Salud! La Arauca 2021 Dry Rosé Maule Valley DO, Chile

Wine Region

Maule Valley

When it comes to well-balanced reds of great value, Chile's Maule Valley is hard to beat. The southernmost part of Chile's Central Valley, Maule is a large sub-region with many microclimates and soil types. The Maule River and the nearby Pacific Ocean both greatly influence its climate. Maule was one of the first places in Chile planted with grapevines. It is famed today for its 100-year-old Carignan vines and the densely sumptuous wines they produce. More typical, however, are its powerful Cabernet Sauvignon, spicy aromatic Carménère and plush Merlot reds. For whites, check out Maule's cheery Sauvignon Blanc and rounded Chardonnay. Chile’s Denominación de Origen (DO) classification system focuses on separating wines by the physical location of origin. To use the DO classification on a label, a producer must have pulled 85 percent of the fruit used in a wine from a defined regional location. The DO system names wine regions in the country from north to south.

Tasting Notes

  • A figure representing the Strawberry tasting note. Strawberry
  • A figure representing the Cherry tasting note. Cherry
  • A figure representing the Blackberry tasting note. Blackberry

Vivid scents of fresh jasmine awaken the senses. The palate is crisp and light, with animated flavors that bounce between strawberry, cherry, and ripe blackberry. This rosé makes for a refreshing aperitif when served alone but is also flavorful enough to stand up to the main course.
