About This Wine
Jol Sommet
Grenache Blanc
This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.
Winemaking: Our winemakers emphasized the purity of orchard and citrus expression during fermentation, while maturation on fine lees built the wine's signature texture and length. To enhance balance, we finished the wine with careful oak additions to sharpen the wine’s natural crispness, bringing aromatic lift and citrus-driven finesse, while contributing gentle volume and a fine creaminess through the mid-palate. This process revealed the subtle spice inherent in the fruit, integrating as a delicate layer of baking spice that adds intrigue without compromising purity
Vintage: The 2025 vintage in the Piekenierskloof was defined by a season of vibrant clarity. This high-altitude region benefited from steady ripening conditions that preserved the grape’s natural acidity while developing a layered, nuanced profile. The resulting fruit captures the soul of the appellation—fresh yet textured—reflecting a harvest where climate and timing worked in perfect harmony to create a white wine of poise and precision.
Pairing Logic: This crisp and bright white is a mouthwatering companion for dishes featuring fresh herbs and citrus. The wine’s textured mouthfeel and subtle baking spice notes from the oak finish make it an ideal match for lemon-herb roasted chicken, grilled halloumi and peach salad and zesty shrimp ceviche.
