Just over two hours south of San Francisco, Monterey County is a picture-perfect dream of a winegrowing appellation. The region stretches along the Salinas Valley, which traverses the state north to south. The gorgeous rolling hills and valley floors experience a wide range of unique terroirs. The sunny days are mitigated by ocean breezes from the Monterey Bay. The maritime influences add salinity to the palate, which marries beautifully with bright citrus notes.
