About This Wine

Iron Arrow

Sauvignon Blanc

Our Iron Arrow 2023 Sauvignon Blanc is a testament to the winemaker's skillful precision in harnessing nature's finest gifts. Crafted with unwavering focus, this Columbia Valley wine displays an enticing array of flavors, hitting the bullseye with its delightful balance and complexity. The 2023 vintage in Columbia Valley experienced a cool start, which delayed bud break and resulted in a shortened growing season. However, the warm and dry summer that followed allowed the grapes to ripen evenly and develop concentrated flavors. As a result, this Sauvignon Blanc exhibits an enticing array of ripe tropical fruit notes, including lychee, pineapple, and peach. The winemaker's careful attention to detail and precise winemaking techniques preserved the grapes' natural acidity, creating a wine with depth and vibrancy. Iron Arrow 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Columbia Valley, Washington

Wine Region

Columbia Valley

Sheltered by the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains, Columbia Valley is home to the majority of Washington's vineyards. Cool nights keep zippy acidity in the grapes, while long daylight hours give the fruit plenty of chance to ripen. This results in full-bodied Merlot, elegant Cabernet Sauvignon and deeply concentrated Syrah. White wines are just as tantalizing, with toasty oak-touched Chardonnay and ripe stone fruit-flavored Riesling taking the spotlight. Sub-AVAs to look out for are Yakima Valley and Walla Walla. The Columbia Valley is one of the only appellations in the United States to occupy vineyards in two states, as it crosses the Oregon border in the southern part of the valley.
