About This Wine

International Press

Cabernet Sauvignon

International Press ventured south and returned with something special from the heart of Argentina's wine country. Our Cabernet Sauvignon boasts ripe red fruit notes complemented by a toasty oak-driven character. This rich red wine comes from the celebrated vineyards of Mendoza, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Andes Mountains. The region's high elevation and arid climate create the perfect conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, with sun-drenched days and cool nights. The mighty mountain sun nurtures these thick-skinned grapes, accentuating ripe fruit flavors and softening tannins. The Andes Mountains are also a natural barrier shielding vineyards from wet weather. This allows warmth-loving Cabernet grapes to enjoy long, glowing summers. As a result, Mendoza's Cabernet Sauvignon wines are bold and balanced expressions. Share this bottle with your best travel buddies and toast to the spirit of adventure. Wine Region

Mendoza

Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.

Our Cabernet Sauvignon offers a balance of fruit and oak. The nose introduces soothing aromas of caramel, dark chocolate and a touch of smokiness. These notes follow through to the palate, where each sip is smooth and dry with ripe red cherry and plum flavors.
