About This Wine

Harmonic Bridge

Barbera

An Italian classic turned California favorite, the Barbera grape has always been a crowd-pleaser— and it’s easy to see why. Harmonic Bridge’s latest addition is bold and bursting with dark fruit flavors, with a nuanced, layered texture that’ll get every guest at the table talking. It’s an elegant, full-bodied wine that seems to reveal something new with every sip. Think black cherries, raspberries, and pomegranate, with dark cocoa and red velvet encore. It pairs perfectly with rich foods. We recommend an intimate dinner with grilled hanger steak, roasted mushrooms, and blue cheese sauce. Judges love it too! It has taken home a bronze medal 2020 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and the 2019 Harvest Challenge.

Wine Region

Lodi

The jewel of the Central Valley, Lodi lies just east of the California Delta in an area of varied terroir. Winemakers here can extract different grape variety expressions from each plot of land. Zinfandel is common here, making deeply fruity and tantalizingly smoky wines, often from old vines. But the deep loamy soils and balmy Mediterranean climate, with its warm days and cool nights, help keep Lodi's grape varieties and winemaking styles impressively diverse. Alongside the ubiquitous Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Viognier also thrive. Lodi is a melting pot of different grape varieties and winemaking techniques, all of which make it a rewarding region to explore.

This grape comes from Piemonte in Italy but is at home in Lodi, California. With cooling influences sweeping in from the delta to the west, the grapes were able to grow beautifully and the wine is full of rich, dark notes: black cherry, pomegranate, black raspberry, and dark chocolate.
