About This Wine
Greensward Lane
Shiraz
This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.
Winemaking Crafted entirely from grapes grown in South Australia’s renowned Limestone Coast, this Shiraz reflects the unique terroir of a world-class wine region. Ocean-cooled climate, ancient limestone soils, and optimal sun exposure allow the fruit to reach peak maturity with vibrant intensity, pure varietal character, and a striking balance of power and elegance.
Vintage The 2025 vintage along the Limestone Coast benefited from a long, even growing season, tempered by cool Southern Ocean breezes and limestone-rich soils. The wine opens with a deep core of vibrant blueberry reduction, black cherry, and blackberry jam. On the palate, it delivers a sweet, succulent dark-fruit compote framed by smooth, luxurious tannins and a fine balsamic gloss that adds dimension without heaviness. A gentle sweep of vanilla and subtle baking spice provides comforting warmth, while a whisper of licorice glides through the mid-palate. Thanks to the region's signature bright acidity, the wine retains a lively lift and freshness that keeps the plush, opulent fruit juicy rather than syrupy, leading into a long, mouth-watering finish.
Pairing Logic Our single-varietal Shiraz boasts an opulent, dark-fruit profile and velvety structure that calls for rich, comforting dishes. The wine’s concentrated blackberry compote and subtle baking-spice notes pair exceptionally well with roasted lamb, peppered ribeye steaks, or slow-cooked beef stews. Its fine balsamic gloss and hint of licorice complement dishes featuring caramelized onions, earthy mushrooms, or sweet braised glazes, while the Limestone Coast’s bright acidity cuts effortlessly through rich, fatty cuts of meat and aged cheeses.
