After ideal weather throughout the summer, a significant September heat spell ushered in a brisk start to harvest. The grapes arrived at the winery in exceptional condition, resulting in complex wines that embody the rustic elegance of great Anderson Valley winemaking.

Anderson Valley is 100 miles north of San Francisco nestled in Mendocino County. Only 15 miles long, the appellation is home to some of the most beautiful wines coming out of northern California. The region experiences a unique weather pattern, with some sunny days reaching nearly 100 degrees but also some days experiencing heavy fog and cooler temperatures thanks to the influences of the nearby Pacific Ocean. Most well known are the Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, and Alsace varietals like Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris.
