Gold Ghost is a mysterious brand inspired by the sailing shipwrecks found throughout California's waterways. This 2024 Zinfandel is sourced from Dry Creek Valley, where gravelly soils force vines to root deeply, naturally concentrating the flavors. Our winemakers utilized a combination of valley floor fruit for plushness and hillside fruit for spice and complexity. A measured use of French and American oak barrels adds cocoa and vanilla nuances, resulting in a wine that is full-bodied and structured. This is a vibrant, "impress-your-friends" wine meant for special occasions or an evening before an art show. It is a clear expression of a world-class terroir and a quality-driven winemaking philosophy.

This small region may only be two miles wide, but it's a treasure trove of diversity thanks to its varied landscape and complex geological history. Flanked by rivers and lakes, the region's vineyards stretch from sun-soaked hillsides to cool valley floors. Its deep, gravelly soils are the perfect home for California's favorite red grape varieties, particularly Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, while Sauvignon Blanc thrives in cooler sites.
