About This Wine

Fruit Stand

Zinfandel

The Fruit Stand Zinfandel wears its heart on its proverbial sleeve. An incredibly fruit-forward blend that draws to mind compote, late summer canning, and preserves. Despite the ripe fruit notes dominating the flavor profile, there are also beautiful hints of mocha, tannins, and an undefinable creaminess. Sonoma warms up from south to north as you move further from the San Francisco Bay, and the steep mountainsides make it climactically complex. A bit of berry, cinnamon, and cherry pie play on your palate and pair well with lamb burgers, marinated chicken skewers, or char-grilled Portobello mushrooms. Judges love it too! It took home a Silver medal from the 2019 Sommeliers Challenge and a Bronze medal from the 2020 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

Wine Region

Sonoma County

Many of California's world-class wines come from Sonoma County, separated from Napa by the Mayacamas Mountains. Three times the size of Napa, Sonoma is an incredibly diverse region. Cool coastal zones, fog-cloaked hillsides, sheltered valleys and craggy exposed peaks give Sonoma a vast array of terroirs and microclimates. Its many sub-regions produce a broad range of styles: from the bold Cabernets of Alexander Valley to the fragrant Pinots of Sonoma Coast and the sublime Chardonnays of Chalk Hill.
