About This Wine

FogBreak

Sauvignon Blanc

FogBreak continues to roll out winner after winner. These decorated winemakers hold impressive accolades like "Best of Class" and 98 points, along with a trophy case filled with multiple Gold and Double Gold Medals. With our FogBreak Sauvignon Blanc from Monterey County, these talented winemakers have once again revealed the beauty of what misty mornings can create. This wine is fresh and vibrant, with an impressive flavor spectrum ranging from citrus to tropical fruit. Monterey County viticulture benefits from abundant sunlight, diverse soil types, and cool ocean fogs that drift throughout the region's hillsides. These conditions set the stage for ripe flavors and refreshing acidity. The climate and vineyards working in such a marvelous harmony allows the winemaker to create award-worthy wines with exceptional varietal flavor and superb balance. We invite you to take a sip and taste the deliciousness of what a little fog can do. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.

Wine Region

Monterey County

Not to be confused with Monterey AVA, Monterey County is a larger designation that also includes the Carmel and San Antonio valleys, among others. Encompassing three distinct zones at the northern end of the Central Coast, Monterey County produces vast amounts of high-quality Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Gris. For reds, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon have often been replaced by Pinot Noir, Syrah and Grenache in recent years. These cooler-climate grapes achieve greatness through the influence of Monterey Bay, which pushes cold fogs and chilly afternoon winds down the Salinas Valley, tempering the sun's heat and allowing a long, moderate ripening season.
