About This Wine

Fifth Note Cellars

Chardonnay

Our Fifth Note Cellars Chardonnay is fine-tuned for food-pairing. This wine is light-bodied and creamy with stone fruit notes and a subtle oak influence. While delicious on its own, a culinary adventure awaits when you turn the label around. Our brunch menu features peach cobbler French toast, a splendid match for the wine's rich flavors and textures—and a flavorful way to start your weekend. Come lunchtime, crumbling soft and tangy blue cheese on top of a seasonal salad will give our Chardonnay's bright acidity something to slice through. The back label suggests macadamia-crusted swordfish for dinner, but any nut and white fish combination will work wonders. The wine's oaky nuances complement the nuts, while the salty fish boosts fruit flavors, creating a symphony of flavors with each bite. Bon Appétit! Wine Region

Central Coast

California's Central Coast might be a bit quieter than Napa or Sonoma to the north, but this lesser-known region produces many world-class wines. Enjoying incredible terroir along its vast 280-mile stretch—from San Francisco Bay to Santa Barbara—Central Coast wines are increasingly in demand. Its position between the Pacific Coast Ranges and the Southern Coast Ranges is key to its quality, with many cool-climate AVAs offering elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. In the hotter parts of the Central Coast, away from the coastal fogs and cold mountain slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are exceptional.
