California is filled with dozens of diverse wine growing appellations, each offering its own unique twist on the particular grapes grown there. Every region experiences its own climate as well, but the commonality amongst all is typically a diurnal temperature shift during the growing season. A diurnal shift means that the hot, dry days are mitigated by fog and wind to create cooler nights. This wine is a blend of 3 different varietals from 3 different appellations within California – Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel from Mendocino County, Lake County, and Napa Valley. Because of the combination of bold, lush varietals, this wine is intriguing and elegant. Made in a Left Bank Bordeaux style, sweet and savory notes meld with dark fruit flavors. Each sip is full-bodied and chock-full of grippy tannins that coat the palate, making it linger. You’ll go back for glass after glass, guaranteed!
